Women's Rugby has been given another important boost with the news that France will play Canada in a curtain raiser to Les Bleus' encounter with Samoa at the Stade de France on 21 November.
The match at the near 80,000 capacity stadium will give Canada a chance to avenge a 12-7 loss to their French counterparts in the Women's Nations Cup on home soil in August and more valuable preparation time ahead of next year's Women's Rugby World Cup in England.
"The exposure for the Women's Game internationally will be huge and based on what I saw at the recent Nations Cup, the Canadian women have an excellent chance of beating France on their home soil," said former Canadian international Steph White.
With a kick-off time of 15:00 local time, France and Canada's women will take to the pitch in their double header a couple of hours before England meet world champions the New Zealand Black Ferns at Twickenham.
England's Women, who retained their Nations Cup crown with an unbeaten record, will tackle the side that has beaten them in the last two World Cup finals after Martin Johnson's side have come face to face with the All Blacks.
These encounters will not be the first time that men's and women's national sides have been involved in double headers with only last month Uganda and Kenya gracing the same pitches in their annual Elgon Cup battles.
